  1. Saikou: IMO this is the best anime streaming app for Android. It supports multiple sources, subtitles, picture-in-picture and so much more. It is open source. You can also read manga on it!
  2. Aniyomi: Aniyomi is an unofficial fork of Tachiyomi, a dedicated manga reader. So you can stream anime and read manga from a single app. Like Saikou, Aniyomi supports multiple sources.
  3. Cloudstream: Cloudstreaming is a great streaming app which you can not only for streaming anime but also for watching thousands of TV shows and movies. The app also has features similar to the above mentioned apps but does not have a manga reader.

If you use any other anime streaming apps, please mention it by leaving a comment.

The reddit piracy community was in a neverending struggle to avoid being banned from the site, constantly censoring and restricting what people could post to keep the reddit admins happy. What's the situation with that sort of thing on lemmy? Is it a free for all? Same situation as back there? Something in between? I guess we may all find out together...

Heya, does anyone have recommendations for where to find ebooks, preferably in PDF format?

Huge bonus points for other languages than only English. Looking especially for German!

Thanks!

Hello! To start my attempt at not lurking I am posting a link to the collection of links I have from Reddit regarding various Piracy sites. Please keep in mind this is my personal collection. You should ABSOLUTELY vet the links yourself. I am just a guy on the internet, I am not a trusted source. This is not a complete list. This is just the sites I refer to for their specific category. I've omitted a fair bit too since the megathreads / link collections have them already too.

If you have other good sources, be sure to share!

Stop Crying, Wipe Your Tears - Introducing…. NQ-RARBG!

Hello members of /r/Piracy,

SlideMovies presents to you NQ-RARBG (Not Quite RARBG).

The death of RARBG has been truly saddening for all of us.

We have gathered developers and have started work on a RARBG clone.

The clone aims to have all the torrents from RARBG (except XXX), and then open registrations, so more people can add torrents. However, this will be under strict moderation to prevent the spread of malware.

GitHub: https://github.com/Not-Quite-RARBG/main

Link: https://nq-rarbg.to/

We encourage more and more developers to contribute and help us with our goal.

Thank you,

The SlideMovies Team

What apps do you personally use on your android box? I use a racked version of spotify for adfree streaming, and stremio with some plugins for all tvshows. I used Kodi in the past but it tended to crap out on the box (its a mibox 4K). I would love to get some more apps for pirating content. Local content is usually a hard find.

Hi everyone !

I am working on a tool to search through multiple websites at the same time and display the results nicely. It is still under development but a first version is already available and works fine.

Please let me know if you have any issue or ideas on how I could improve it !

I originally posted this thread: https://midwest.social/post/423896 in relation to getting started acquiring content and I just gotta say damn...this software is incredible.

I would paste the actual content of the post here but it would probably get me banned from the instance, even with the slur filters (cringe).

Anyway. I didn't know who this cracker was before the mastodon spam post here and I've since done a bit of research. This was a recent post by whoever empress is, apparently they are seething all over reddit and it has spilled in this direction. She also really hates fitgirl, someone we all know and love.

Now normally I would just setup radarr, sonarr and the like on a seedbox or something if I were looking for a setup for myself, but my friends and family members can't handle something like that. Stremio with torrent addons offers a user friendly netflix-like experience but its not entirely opensource and I can't self host it.

Jellyfin seems to be a popular suggestion for user friendly software with a netflix-like interface but from what I can tell, there isn't automatic torrenting to match the convenience of stremio.

If a family member has to open a webpage or an app to pick out content, then wait for it to download fully, then open up the jellyfin UI to watch content, that might be too complicated for some of my elderly family members to achieve.

Is there an open source/self-hosting torrent/piracy solution that is comparable to stremio in regards to being boomer friendly? Thanks for your comments.

For me, they're more trouble than they're worth. For wanting to support your favorite artists, I'm rewarded with unskippable trailers and FBI warnings, and if you want to play Blurays on PC, well... Just take a look at this. Keydb files? BD+ decryption? What happened to just putting the stupid disc in the machine and hitting play?

With pirated movies and shows, I just double-click on a file and away I go. Why would I ever want to go back to Blurays?

Hey y'all, In the past I had arranged that /f/piracy in raddle.me would be the fallback forum for /r/piracy, but I recently noticed that raddle.me has disabled new user registrations and that would be a problem in case we need it.

And with reddit about to go public, it might be needed.

Instead of trying to spin up my own lemmy instance, I was thinking if I could get a mod position in this forum and specify it as the official /r/piracy fallback instead.

Feel free to PM me in reddit for verification.
