and what is that fallout exactly?

People use stolen credit cards to optain those keys and often the developer is left with a ton of chargebacks aka wasted time and money!

this sub, a den of thieves, and a merchant is asking us to steal for free instead of paying a fence. What does having honor buy me?

The game and future games from this developer? You may not want to throw coins into their goldbag, but at least don't hurt them by paying another scum that results in bills for them.

credit card companies issuing charge backs are hurting them. don't mistake chopping off a branch to kill the tree. the root of the problem needs to be solved first. such as distribution, if keys are such a hassle. ditch them, use something else... (what is that something else, i don't know, but they cant keep making codes that will again be stolen sitting with a Pikachu face going 'how could this have happened')...then Credit Card companies are issuing charge backs. not me...can i 'help' by going out of my way, sure. but these are systemic issues that black flag sailers cannot solve on the internet.
