That’s… actually new information. Makes a heck of a lot more sense now. Thought all of this came from some bored dudes that saw messaging app aggregators and thought “what if we could do that but with all social media” and in a month scrapped together 0.0.0.1 ActivityPub standard and managed to tech demo it to their friends
Being pro-Dessalines also underlines "tankie" mindset. Dessalines was an utter tyrant who declared himself emporer but his subjects weren't slaves and everyone opposing him wanted to re-enslave them. Sure Toussaint Louverture would've been ideal but Napoleon rejected him so he failed. Its all strictly "lesser of two evils" mindset.
