The onion sits in a legal gray area because they use the real names of people and organizations.
If they can no longer make satire then the news orgs will we unable to say anything but the status quo. At that point the media will be controlled by the government. Freedom of the press means that a reporter can say what they want even if it isn't liked or agreed with.
