From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

I'm on the lookout for a reliable tool that can automate the subtitle download process for my collection of movies and TV shows. I'm hoping to find something that can either work on individual videos by providing the title or hash, or even better, monitor a designated folder for new additions and fetch subtitles accordingly. It would be fantastic if the tool is compatible with Linux and user-friendly. Any recommendations or experiences with similar tools would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are using the *arr stack, Bazarr may be what you are looking for.

Seconded 👍 took me a bit to setup correctly, but there are lots of guides out there.

Thirded. Once it was setup, it just runs and does its thing in the background.
