Interesting. Does that mean up until now operators where able to offer worse access? For example prohibiting access to 4G and keeping roaming units on 2G networks?

I have had some unpleasant experience in Germany where "local" units had access to faster networks than me and my partner.

I wouldn't even care about speed actually, the data caps should be more fair. Imagine getting 50GB at home and 16GB in EU...

Germany was the first to come to mind for me too. Been there a couple of times and the network always feels slow. That saying, roaming never feels like “at home” speeds.

Because 1 corruption politician in Germany was paid to support TV connections over more modern ones and effectively fucked us over in the long run
