The "never again" crowd about WW2

hitler-detector

This response confuses me completely. Being against genocide and the hypocrisy of the people that say that WW2 horrors shouldn't happen ever again but then support a genocide make me a Nazi?

I don't think you're wrong in spirit, but we are the "never again" crowd. It's a good motto to live by and it's entirely true. The fact that some people hypocritically use it to defend the genocidal state of Israel doesn't take away from how the rest of us should continue the remembrance of the Holocaust and vow to never allow genocide to happen again. Being Opposed to "never again" is something that you shouldn't do, even ironically.

It's the hypocrisy of it that I am against. Just look at Germany supporting Israel genocide on the Palestinian. If it was a fiction, it would be completely unbelievable, but here we are .

You didn't say any of those things lol. You described in vague shadowy language people who embrace the idea of never again allowing another Holocaust (a group you situate yourself outside of but: not a Nazi I guess) and then you ascribe a single and noxious behavior to the group.

Look dude I don't know if you're a fascist or not but you sure made a sussy comment.

A lot of the people that repeat that WW2 was horrible because of the holocaust are themselves supporting a holocaust. Is this more descriptive?

The people that repeat that WW2 was horrible because of the holocaust

Do you really not see the issue here? Are you not part of this group? I am. And I'm not supporting a Holocaust, are you?

Are you or are you not part of this group

If you're not, yeah you don't get to push back when people call you a Nazi

Do you really think I'd be against Palestinian genocide and support the holocaust or something? Genuine question.

Dude you went back and edited your post that we're arguing about without mention it and you're acting like I'm the weird one.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I didn't mean everyone in the first place, that's way I edited it. It was literally an oversight. I am talking about the hypocrisy of Germany and the like, people or countries.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

OK but you understand we've been having a debate about the problem with your wording and instead of saying oh yeah you're right I worded it poorly you just edited it and continued to argue as if there's nothing wrong with the way you worded it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 weeks ago

I reckon my original wording choice wasn't the best (English is not my native language, so these slips happens often), but I didn't put any thoughts behind editing the comment other than fixing a mistake. You gotta also reckon that I repeated many times that it's the hypocrisy of saying "never again" and then supporting a genocide that I am completely against. let's just finish this with a virtual handshake 🀝
