I played GoT on release and right after Sekiro, thinking it would be A similar game.

It certainly wasn’t and thus didn’t really enjoy it, although the gameplay was alright. Also played on a pod TV which wasn’t able to do 4K.

Now I’m curious if it is worth it to replay the game on PS5 with a 4K TV.

I remember the story was about honor, dignity, revenge and not to be ‘enslaved’ by it. However the gameplay was similar to Assassin Creed kind and a bit lackluster.

Would you recommend the game again or rather try another game?

I am replaying it with my partner. She doesn't want to play, but she wants to see the visuals and the story. She makes all the decisions and I just control Jin. It has been interesting because her enjoyment is kind of divorced from the mechanics (other than choosing non-stealth whenever possible).

The only notable thing about the game is that it's extremely pretty. So I say start it again, see how much this prettiness matters to you on this new TV, and then decide whether to continue.

The first time I played I did it with full color and English dub, and it was good, but it kind of suffers from the "Pick the cat turds out of the sandbox" issue that almost every single one of these games do, where eventually you're just going from POI to POI on the undiscovered portions of the map and everything gets kind of samey after a while.

I don't know if playing in Kurosawa mode would be a fresh enough experience to hold me through a second playthrough.

If you have the ps5 director update, they added really good haptic feedback to the game. And there was an Lengend update that add some more stuff(like NG+ and extra perks) and Legend mode to play. The director's cut content is also quite nice(entire extra smaller island), some puzzles are pretty nice change of pace, you can learn a lot more about the back story of MC.

If you didn't enjoy it the first time I don't see why you would now, even with a better framerate. It's still the Assassin's Creed Kurosawa Edition it always looked like, just smoother.

I didn't mind it, but if you don't like AC gameplay, you won't take to this.

Try Days Gone instead, that one actually feels like the better gyro and framerate of the PS5 improves it.

Crank the difficulty and play as a samurai instead of a ninja. Just straight rush every enemy you see. You’ll still probably have problems trying to complete all the assorted landmarks on the map, but the combat is way more fun when you and everyone around you die in 1-2 hits and you’re constantly swapping stances to stay alive.

Honestly, I wouldn’t do a replay, if I were you. I would just get the expansion pack and play that. If you’re really itching for a replay, you can do New Game Plus and at least earn New cosmetics instead of unlocking the same ones again.
