Why not mention the computer issues here? You might have found someone wiling to fix it for free.
because they're physical computer issues for one thing, and for another thing i was on vacation for the first week they had to be dealt with and lost the ability to use my phone (which has none of my passwords anyways) the second week
I'm not sure why it being physical makes a difference in asking for help, but okay.
this is not the time and place to be an annoying contrarian or to completely ignore what i just said because it's inconvenient to whatever dumb shit you're trying to pull here.
The internet is a vast place, maybe someone would be in your area. If you were in illinois, I would have offered to fix your computer for free, because I thought beehaw community was supposed to be nice.

hey homie, idk if you have thought about this exchange much in the time since, but i'm noting that you replied to the last comment that alyaza made before going MIA 9 days ago. alyaza may be an admin here, but she is a person and also appears to be going through a really tough time in her life right now. Beehaw is still a community to be kind, but it's also okay for people to be having a bad week and misinterpret your intent. For all we know, alyaza may even regret snapping at you, but they don't appear to have internet access enough to log on and say as much.
You don't have to answer, but don't need to take it personally either, it looks like normal grim reaper curiosity to me. Like "how much coffee did you spill on it", or "did the caps outgass slowly or did they explode with sparks flying everywhere", or "did the dog bite 1/3 or 1/2 of the screen, and could you have used the remaining half". Some people have seen a lot of shit, and I mean A LOT... and we like to speculate.
A software problem can often be fixed remotely, a physical problem requires physical access.

Asking your community for help before dropping hundreds of dollars isn't a physical or non physical issue.
As I said in my replies. The internet is vast, there isn't a remote possibility that they are near other beeple that would be willing to handle it?
If they were in illinois or southern wisconsin, I could have done it for free.
I have also remotely, through video call, walked people through replacing computer parts with no issues.
It doesn't matter if it is a physical or software problem. There are alternatives to being hundreds of dollars in the red.
