Looking for self hosted digital asset management (beehaw.org)

I'm looking to be able to store assets that I've created and purchased (both 3d models and images, potentially audio in the future) on my nas and would love to be able to use something to browse them and filter or sort them based on what kind of usage license I have for them. So if I'm doing a commission I can filter out the "personal use only" assets available. As the primary use is for visual arts assets, large preview images would be perfect. Teeny tiny icons not nearly as useful when browsing through image elements to find something you like.

I'm really looking for a self hosted option, ideally one with a docker container available but I could also spin up a virtual machine to host it if required.

Does anyone know of something that would fit the bill?

Only one I can think of is Manyfold. Hope this helps.

That looks cool for 3d models but it doesn't look like it supports 2d images as well? If I have to use a different program for 3d and 2d assets then I will def be looking at Manyfold/VanDAM

Oh shoot, that was all I had. I use Tropy to manage research photos but that doesn't support 3D models AFAIK...

came here to suggest VanDAM but looks like it's been renamed. Looking for the same solution myself and was going to try it out.

Yetiforce has, among other things, also an asset management built in.

That looks cool! But my folder is already 18gb and is well over the 10gb of free storage they offer. Also self hosting is out of my price range for them.

Oh you know what I might have clicked on the on premise supported version and saw the price of $695 per month and noped out lol, thanks I'll take a closer look. I see the git repository now.

Directus is awesome for this. Create the fields and storage you need.

I realize this is a FOSS channel, but I'm going to play devil's advocate and suggest Eagle.

I have some 40K assets, mostly JPGs and PNGs, and apart from Obsidian, Eagle is the best piece of software I've found in the last 5 years, maybe longer, and I absolutely adore it.

It's not free, but it's pay-once, fairly cheap, and the upcoming version has an API and huge focus on community developed plugins.

The current version supports a huge amount of file types, including 3D. I'm not completely sure about audio, but I'd be kinda surprised if Eagle didn't support audio.
