Some categories have alternatives, like davinci resolve and inkscape, others are lacking adequate alternatives such as photoshop and substance painter.

Download wikipedia. Its not only possible, but its actually easy. There are some apps for it, see Kiwix and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Database_download. Just bring a couple phones and some solar panels for when they run out of charge.
Concrete and steel production accounts for around 20% of co2 emissions, so it’s not only oil and gas companies (although it is still mostly from oil and gas companies).
People need to see more of the world. Many are too isolated in their specific culture.

Freecad definitely needs the money.
The problem is, when working with electronics, you can have a great screwdriver but it won't help if the screws in the device are very cheap (and probably partially stripped already from someone opening it previously).
