Most of mine have already been mentioned, but here are a few I didn't see:

  • Songs by Spencer A guy named Spencer makes songs. Relatively new channel, but the production quality is top notch. I think his day job is owner of a video production company.

  • Cheap Audio Man Reviews relatively cheap audio gear. Cheap is a pretty wide range in the audio world.

  • Awesome Open Source Talks about open source software. Usually runs through how to install and basic usage/features.

  • Chris Titus Tech Tech channel. Mostly Windows and Linux.

  • Techno Tim Mostly homelab related stuff

  • 66Samus Drum stuff

  • Nicole van der Hoeven Obsidian.md / Personal Knowledge Management

  • Rachel Maksy Cosplay / crafty stuff

  • How to ADHD ADHD stuff

  • Coffeezilla Covers scams, grifters, etc.

  • James Hoffmann All things coffee

  • The Kiffness Makes songs out of random internet clips of animals. Or remixes other people singing. My kids love this channel.

Arch currently. When I came back to linux, I started with Manjaro because I heard it was easier. I had more problems than I would like so gave regular Arch a try and had a significantly vetter experience.

Going to try NixOS out at some point though.

I really want to give NixOS a try when I have some time to learn. I've been on Arch for a couple years now, and I'm ready for a change. Lol.

Any places you recommend going to learn how to get started in addition to the official docs?

I'm still procrastinating on figuring out the majority of my backup solution, mainly because I get overwhelmed too. But there is a backblaze personal docker template on the Unraid Community App store. You could do one way syncthing and have that backup to backblaze.

The only thing I currently backup offsite is an encrypted archive of my paperless-ngx content. I use rclone for that.

I found this guide on reddit that goes over borg and rclone. Seems to walk you through most of it. https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/comments/e6l4x6/tutorial_borg_rclone_v2_the_best_method_to/

But, i'm also making assumptions on your technical abilities, which I guess is part of the problem you have with cli tools....

I use Yakuake and Konsole since they came along with KDE Plasma. I've never really thought about using anything else, but maybe I should...

Almost every time I use Windows, i hit F12 to try and pull down Yakuake to do something quick, and I get annoyed every time. Now that i'm more comfortable with it, the terminal is just better for a lot of things.

My wife recently told me we have too much cast iron...like that is even possible. Lol.

I have a couple older Griswolds with a slight warp though. Going to give them to a friend of mine that loves to cook and has a gas stove. The rocking on our electric stove isn't worth it.

For people that have younger kids with slip-on shoes, a smaller size shoe horn is a lifesaver for helping them put their own shoes on.

It shouldn't replace regular flossing, but if it is between no flossing, or only occasionally flossing, and using a water flosser every day, I'd imagine using just the water flosser is still a net positive.
