No I don’t. And when I think of those things they are considered negative. Despite my own thoughts never feeling normal or normative. Despite the fact that I never have a societal norm that keeps me going… I instead find my own norm and keep going… it’s weird I never seek to pull society down I try to move up…

I don’t really agree with this post, but I’m trying to move forward so who knows…

Passively displaying any stuff is the holy grail, but we get there step by step.

The important thing is to be important. Engineering has to deal with teammates that don’t have these problems, so they equalize.

It’s like the end of Micheal Clayton.

“Why can’t I name them binary numbers or ‘techno’ and have them shut up?”

“People are too woke”

No. In fact they are typically quite safe but there are some edge cases that pop up given the size and power of the batteries. E.g. Recently it was reported in Florida that some EVs had similar battery issues as a result of hurricanes flooding them with salt water. Thats not a normal occurrence. It makes sense that salt water and batteries aren’t totally simpatico, but more importantly for this to happen you had to leave your car by the ocean in a hurricane, not a spontaneous thing.

Conversely I had a friend driving a brand new ford fiesta and one of the front wheels just came off at speed on the highway…

I’m sure 2nd amendment gun nuts would use this as an excuse to say even in the most restrictive environment gun violence can still occur hence gun control is pointless and zero gun control is the only way…

I’d say its the exception to prove the rule. One death is shocking there and promoting response. Compare that to schools getting shot up while the GOP salivates over using the tragedy to push “private religious schools”…

If anything the lesson is that violence will occur but societally it should never be tolerated in any form.

Not for the sake of an AR-15 and certainly not for the sake of a predatory religion/cult.
