I kept hoping that Sony would do a last hurrah with discs and make a console that plays them all. But with discs being pretty much antiquated at this point, I don't think it's going to happen.

Boot with a live USB image first. Check and see if everything is working. Don't be married to the first Linux distro you try.

"My work was called ‘dogshit’ I was called ‘incompetent’." Is this really news? While hurtful and not cool to tell somebody. Im sure a million a people think similar things about a co-worker everyday. This is classic toxic environment and time to leave. If there's issues like sexual harassment, she needs to get a lawyer. Makes me wonder if there's going to be a " You probably heard some rumors...." On LTT

Exactly! Content filtering should be standard with every Internet subscription. Something like OpenDNS https://community.opendns.com/domaintagging/categories

Sadly this would probably only lead to paying more for certain content types.

WTF is this? Is this appropriate for anybody? I'm usually okay with a dumb ad here and there but this ridiculous.

The Internet is to open. ISPs should have blocking controls accessable to subscribers.

It's been good for me. It has broke a couple of times, but it seemed pretty in par for any Linux distro. For me it was time to re-install. It has a cool package called "gnome-layout-switcher" that mimics popular desktops.

I moved because Debian was somewhat boring, Ubuntu was busy trying to make stuff nobody wanted. RPM based distros were bought by Oracle or IBM and felt like "old hat", ha ha sorry. Arch was the goal but I was feeling lazy so Manjaro it was. I'll probably try another Arch based distro because pacman tools are pretty good.

A while back I bought Metal Slug 3 on the ps4 for super cheap on sale. It was just the ps2 version emulated. So Sony has a PS2 emulator

I'm sure this will play out like the office 365 subscription service. Everyone I know uses it as work. Microsoft doesn't sell to IT people. They sell to middle management and finance departments. Ba ha ha ha.

Consoles have so many first person shooters and very few support mouse and keyboard. Subscription for online play and meh
