Could always plug it in temporarily; do what you gotta do, then remove it again.

... Sata DVD-ROM drives are a thing

Hell I've still got one just in case

The middle-man provides plausible deniability in this case. PornHub can genuinely say they don't see connections from age-verification states atm. That stops being true if they host the VPN, making them aware of actual client locations.

I'd just like to clarify: the new machines aren't MRI (the magnets in those would prohibit all metal objects being within 100ft).

The new machines are also xray; but the xray emiters and detector are now on a spinning carriage similar to an MRI. This allows you to build a 3d model of the object and calculate it's volume, which when combined with the density measurements gives much more reliable material detection.

This also means your stuff doesn't have to be removed from bags to ensure items aren't blocking each other from the scanner.

Fun fact: until recently, most airport scanners literally couldn't differentiate between water and many common explosives. Hence the scrutiny of water based products/possessions.

You should certainly drive with more caution than a typical vehicle; but you've still got to get fuel and travel between storage and wherever you're having fun.

A trailer + a vehicle to tow it isn't always available/practical.

Point is, it's likely not on public roads often or very long. It's not like it would be out getting groceries and picking up the kids from school every day.

Tbh, regarding visibility; it doesn't seem any worse than a semi truck. Probably has better stopping power too.

Sure, there are definitely some assholes out there; but all we've got here is this picture.

This does not show him being an asshole in anyway; dudes just existing alongside his toy. What's wrong with that?

A sensible person wouldn't judge a stranger based on the actions of others.

Except in this case, the driver is being called a POS simply for owning a toy and legally driving it down the road.

I could understand if he was actually engaged in some assholery like taking up multiple lanes... But he's fine.

Something tells me it's not a daily driver...

People are allowed to have toys.

Why would you ever be buying a sim card seprate from the carrier servicing it...?

Honestly asking, that's incredibly unusual to me. Where I live, the mobile carrier always provides the sim card. Usually free with a monthly phone plan, or as a part of a pre-paid plan. (pre-paid you can usually buy from a corner store like seven eleven. monthly you'll actually have to visit their store/mall booth)

True. Known as Encrypted Client Hello now, as part of TLS1.3.

It seems many more browsers support it than last I'd looked. I'm curious to see how much of the general web has adopted support for it onnthe server side. I'll have to look into that more, and see what it'll take to setup for self-hosting.

It will prevent the ISP from snooping on, or tampering with, the DNS request. However when you go to use the IP you've retrieved via DoH/DoT; your first request establishing a TLS connection to that IP will contain an unencrypted SNI which states the domain you are trying to use. This can be snooped on by your ISP.

Using Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Samsungs 'Internet' app, and every other browser I've used/tried on Android:

I'll go to select some text on a page by long-pressing on it and it'll select the word I'm touching as well as expand that selection to a somewhat random amount of additional text (usually not following any structure such as selecting a whole sentence for example).

I'll then go to adjust that selection by grabbing one of the two tabs on either end of it and the moment I do, the opposite tab jumps to a completely random spot on the page vastly expanding the selection, then the whole page scrolls to an entirely different section; Leaving me holding one end of the selection unable to see what was originally selected. I can't scroll to where I was, and If I let go and just click copy I've now copied 90%of the page to my clipboard.... Attempting to modify the selection any further yields the same lack of control and just makes things worse.

This doesn't happen everywhere, but I get these results far far more often than a successful copy+paste. Like just now trying to copy an address from a local transit guide.

I end up having to drop the paste into a notepad app, reselect the bit I actually wanted (if it even made it into the pile of garbage I was forced to grab) then delete the note once I'm done.

This is fucking stupid and I hate it. Rant over. Thank you for listening.

/edit: I don't have the power to pin a comment, but [email protected] has a great solution: Use the rectangle select tool in androids 'Edge Panel' (must be enabled in settings), then press the 'T' button to copy text from the area you've selected.
