That seems worth the trade off in my opinion. All I want is a longer lasting battery so maybe that'll be worth grabbing if I need a new device.

I think the argument is that the monopoly is present because it's basically pointless outside of China to launch a phone without play services. So while you can release a phone based on AOSP, it's not going to be successful financially without the Google apps and tweaks from Play Services

Is the A54's battery that good? I've heard nothing but positive things about the 23 Ultra battery and I'd assume you get more than twice the performance/features right?

No they are allowing you to view them in YouTube and the Google TV library section of the app

I was hoping this would come out like a Nexus price-wise and was very disappointed when it came out.

Side note - Firefox for Android recently freezes and crashes when you use the Google search in the private view. Also seems intentional

Has anyone else had trouble with Google search on Firefox for Android recently? It freezes after it provides results so I can't click links. Weirdly, I don't have this issue with Chrome, Edge, or Samsung Internet.
