The diarrhoea of gods.

Sounds like the whole of creation. At that wasn't all that good.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 weeks ago

The other way around wasn't that un-terrible either.

We should expel it like the diarrhoea it is.

For something completely new like that 50k years is not all that much.

Perhaps enough time for the existing plastic eating bacteria to spread across the world, tho a lot of plastics are buried deep in soil already, so artefacts might survive. Same as with wood, before the wood/cellulose eating bacteria got all over the place, dead trees just for buried. So at high pressure plastic might turn once again into oil.

Im thinking poultry industry mechanised processing. We have those and they themselves labeled it 'humane' (Im not saying they are human or humane, it's just the words we are using).

You are right. But the magic is working too slow for a meaningful all-around effect.

The classic is a proven method. Idj, Im just worried & don't want to get it wrong.

There are actually like 10 exact same glasses from different manufacturers/brands, from 250-ish moneys upwards (you might need various addition interfaces for your devices, like PC, HDMI, etc - sold separately and unreasonably expensive for what they are).

They all use the same design, Sony OLEDs, speakers, batteries, accessories, etc, they only differ in front design.

I love how when I stream music to my car a little VLC icon appears on the screen, under the album art. So proud.

Yeah, I know, and the new streaming formats technically supporting ads ... What can I say - the world is a fuck & we must manage (or not manage, I'm not your boss, Im barely my boss).

Yes, disappointing, but this might not be for the full fov.

It says 50°, and such glasses can be worn on different lengths from the eyes.

Regardless, I agree with you - I absolutely want to see (a lot) more than 1080p of like financial data/code/hentai without moving my head, otherwise I'll just keep using my office monitors.

... so they actually managed production/made it feasible ... aaand then decided on ChromiumOS (supposedly because the "monitor" is a bit different)?

Such glasses is what I need from (non-gaming) VR. But not like this :(

VLC is one of the greatest achievements of the modern era imho (along with Linux, Wikipedia, etc).

A good dev who didn't sell out, fully FOSS, always ~~up-to-date~~ before-the-date, no nonsense or bloatware, no UI changes every month to get more engagement, etc.

This is how all products of humanity with our level of tech should be like (even non-software).
