Because automated reposts just drown out all the posts that people are actually participating in. Yes you could scrape reddit and repost all the content here but lemmy doesn't have the userbase of reddit so your feed would just be full of a bunch of dead bot made posts.
But if a person deliberately reposts something from reddit in a Lemmy community where it fits and adds to the community then that's perfectly fine.
Yup. At least in my area. It's not going to be pretty. Hell I'm outside right now and it's over 30C at nearly midnight. I walked out the door and felt like I stepped into a sauna.
0C? Fellow Minnesotan here and I've definitely seen plent of people wearing shorts at temps below -5C. But I'm also in a college town so that may change things.
Jokes on you. I'm an american who works with scientific equipment so I mainly work in Celsius. Also live in Minnesota so we get the best of both worlds. Last winter hit almost -30C at times meanwhile tomorrow has a high of 39C with almost 70% humidity.
I can't speak for OP but the only time I waste here is my employers time or time I'm also spending on the toilet. Plucking feathers from chicken instead durring either situation wouldn't be ideal.
Antihistamines are actually known to ocasionally have some weird effects on brain chemistry. I'm actually prescribed an antihistamine called hydroxazine for as needed anxiety relief and as a sleep aid. It's very similar to diphenhydramine (benadryl) but has been found to also have some effect on serotonin levels. Other studies have shown that even regular over the counter antihistamines can slightly alter or very slightly relieve depression and anxiety symptoms. You also have anticholinergic antihistamines like diphenhydramine which have been linked to early onset dementia even at normal theraputic doses (when used long term). Just in general antihistamines are known to ocasionally have weird effects on the brain that aren't fully understood. That definitely doesn't mean they're unsafe though. Keep taking them if you need them. I certainly do.

There were instances doing exactly that. I don't know if they're still around because I blocked them as soon as they started showing up my feed. Most people absolutely hated them because it's basically just spam.
Yes but they can't anyways because google never fixed their completely borked content ID system. Half the people I watch just assume that all of their videos will be demonitized anyways. They make all of their money off of patreon.
If youtube fixed their content ID system and stopped falsely demonitizing all the creators I watch then I would hapily pay for youtube red (or whatever they call it now). As it is though I'm not giving them my money just for them to pay copyright trolls with some of it. I'd rather give my money to noone than risk having some of it go to the people leaching off the completely broken content ID system.
