Im in Newfoundland.

Wait times in the emergency room aren't too bad. Its very heavily triaged so if you go in with a major emergency you will basically be seen immediately, but if you go in with something minor you might have to wait a few hours, especially if there are any respiratory illnesses going around. Children and elderly patients struggling to breathe take priority over an otherwise healthy adult with a wound that just needs a few stitches.

Getting a family doctor can be difficult. There just aren't enough to go around.

Seeing a specialist will usually involve a long wait list (a few weeks to a few months depending on what they specialize in), so its best to book an appointment as soon as you can. You may have to travel to St.Johns so there might be some travel expenses. Growing up I had to see an ENT in St.Johns every summer for a checkup, so we just turned the visit into a camping trip.

Dwarf raspberry/dewberry. My pop used to call it 'gumbo' for some reason.

Its a tiny little raspberry plant that produces one berry per plant, so its hard to get it in any quantity.

The fruit itself is more juicy than a regular raspberry, and tastes more like fake raspberry flavored candy. Its always a treat to find these while hiking.

would love to see it done as a mockumentary mini series, like it already has the format built in!

Re arrange the room so your heaviest piece of furniture is near the door, like juuust enough clearance that the door can open. Then you can easily barricade it by placing something lighter in between the door and the heavy furniture, like a stool or chair.

I had to do this to keep my mom out of my room when I was 15.

If she escalates and removes your door, you can fully barricade the door with furniture, and if they remove the furniture from your room, drag in furniture from the hallways/kitchen if you feel malicious.

If they ever remove your bed, that is considered abuse in most places, and should be brought up with your school's councilor or a trusted teacher, they are mandated reporters.

Just checked Cold Steel because its basically the default for this sort of wacky shit and its not there sadly. They do have an axe walking stick though.

Red Lentil Soup:

  • 1 palm sized onion - diced (white or red works)
  • 2 carrots - diced
  • 1 stalk celery - finely chopped, or 1 tsp celery seed if you don't like the texture of celery
  • 3 teaspoons of minced garlic (im just using the pre minced stuff packed in oil)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 bullion cubes
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups red split lentils
  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes

Dissolve your bullion cubes in some of the water, you want them dissolved before you need the broth.

Sauté onions, carrots, celery/celery seed, and garlic until its 'sweated' (the onions should look slightly translucent but not yet browned) medium to high heat, its ok to brown them but you really don't want them burnt.

add in all spices and sauté an additional minute.

add in the bullion water, the remainder of the non bullion water, bay leaves, lemon juice and stir well ensuring there are no veggie bits stuck to the bottom of the pan.

Add in the can of crushed tomatoes and the lentils.

Bring to a boil while stirring frequently, once its boiling reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes with the occasional stir.

to store it, let it cool down, transfer it to containers and store in fridge. The soup takes freezing well.-

New World.

Started off as a PvP mmo with a focus on territory control with some survival elements. Not a traditonal mmo to be sure, but definitely an interesting concept.

Turned into a generic themepark PvE mmo but with none on the features one would expect from a modern mmo.

Its gotten better since, but AGS tends to drop the ball just a little more with each update.

I peaced out about 3 months after release, tried it again a year later and even with improvements it still couldn't snag me. I just found myself longing for the original concept.

Mom used to wake me up in the morning by pinning me down and tickling me, You can imagine the amount of flailing you would do going from a deep sleep to basically being assaulted. One time I somehow managed to kick her in the nose, it ended up broken.

Dont even feel bad.
