Any recommended Matrix servers to create an account on that are focused on privacy? I'm aware its self-hostable but it's honestly like trying to untangle a rats next to get it all working optimally.
I loved Pop as a new user but they've been pretty stagnant update-wise while working on their new desktop environment, so I would personally consider it to have been more buggy (usually with tiling) than other distros and not a great choice until they get that sorted out. Very excited to see it when they're done though.
This is also me and there's definitely other distros I wouldn't use that would be helpful for a certain use case. Like NixOS for multiple systems.
Even still, there's tons of distros that are essentially X but with more preinstalled packages. It takes knowledge, but if the unique parts of the distro can be replicated in 10 minutes, what's the point? Just make scripts for one of the mainline distros. Or make the main distro suck a little less and install your graphics drivers for you so there's no need for a separate image or script.
What could their response possibly change about the situation if its anything other than "it's all lies, we're consulting our lawyers". What context do you want?
I'm sure everyone on this niche internet forum are a day away from starvation and don't literally buy plastic wrapped steaks at Walmart on the regular. Oh wait.
If you're in a position where you legitimately don't have options, the comments aren't about you. Nobody is truly going after the Inuit people. We're talking to the people who could just as easily buy something else from the grocery store. But whenever a post like this comes up, suddenly everyone considers themselves too impoverished.
