You've never used your phone as a cookbook? Sure there's not a "real need" for it but if my phone's gonna sit on the counter for an hour while I make some bouillabaisse may as well charge it.

On the nightstand, at the work desk, at the home office, near the coffee table, in the kitchen... all pretty reasonable and I'm sure you can think of more. Idk what the solution is but you have to admit the current set up is dumb. Yes it's a trivial inconvenience but that's what apple is known for solving...

Obviously, but what, you're just using double sided tape everywhere you have a charger? That's not very apple.

I never liked this new magsafe. When I had an iPhone, I bought a case with one (dumb gimmick that does nothing because the case is adhered to the phone) and a magsafe wireless charger. But every morning I had to hold down my wireless charger to take my phone off of it, or else it would come with the phone when I picked it up. Never made sense from a consumer standpoint for me.

Fastmail integration for masked emails! If you already have an email provider you like then yeah not much to offer. But if you're like me a few years ago and was looking to get off of chromes password manager and gmail, then 1password and fastmail is a nice combo.

I use privacy. It works and is easy enough to use. I didn't know banks supported it though, mine doesn't.

I had a subscription with special pricing to my local paper. After the introductory period was over, they raised the price from like $5 a month to $22. I didn't want to pay that much so I went to cancel but they do one of those, sorry, you can only cancel by calling us and listening to us plead with you to keep your subscription. I ended up just changing my card to a virtual one with a penny on it and after a thousand phone calls and mailers and a few months they finally auto cancelled my subscription. In this scenario, you'd still be pegged with a negative remark where you're from?

The article says they just hang nearby and take photos, which is kinda hard to prevent. Or just speed onto the base, which normally ends pretty badly for them.

Music has always been the part I've cared the least about. Out of the thousands of hours I've wasted on games, the only video game song I can think of out of the blue is the Mario theme song. (And Raphael's battle song in bg3 because I just fought him; that shit was pretty cool.) It always surprises me when I see OSTs included in deluxe editions because I think, who's going to listen to 2 hours of instrumentals from a game they played 5 years ago. To each their own I guess.

It blows my mind talking to my grandpa. His first question is how was traffic and the next is how did I get there. Then he'll say well next time take the 5 for 3.9 miles, then hop on 78 until you see the 420 then do a triple lane change to the 69 then you're home. And then I'm like sure thing grandpa I'll remember that for sure, as I'm tapping the home button on google maps lol.
