Maybe the technology is better these days, but I've never seen any that completely clear indoors.

Oh dear, sorry for your (hearing) loss. I have pretty bad tinnitus from gigs etc. and not protecting my poor ears. The sonic repellents seem to cut through the ringing though.

Yeah you're probably right, although I'm 35.

Yeah I LOVED the Z5 compact. If they still made compacts I'd still have an Xperia now, but their current phones are way too long for my hands.

I'm the same as you, I find them really painful, I think people don't realise how much these can affect humans.

I'm in the UK and Imo they're not good people. I know several tattooists who have been threatened/had their place trashed by them when they've opened a shop in my city.

I also went to a Hells Angels bar once when a music event was being hosted there and they were awful people. Charged more for drinks if they didn't like the look of someone, one guy threatened me because a glass fell on the floor and smashed (it was nowhere near me) and made me clean it up. I'm a small woman, I was scared, so I did it and left 😬

They're immortal, I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.

+1, Henry is a G. I bought mine 10 years ago and he's still like new. My parents are self-employed cleaners and have a Henry they use pretty much every day (and have done for 20 years) and he's still going strong. I can't bear any other vaccum.

I've had to use Dysons in previous jobs and oh my god, they're so needy. The tiniest amount of hair will block the whole thing. Henry could suck up a horse and keep going.

I ended up getting Bluetooth headphones when I upgraded my Pixel. I deliberated over it for AGES.

Charging them is less annoying than I thought it would be (I bought my headphones in January and have only had to charge them about 4 times??) but it annoys me that you can't just plug them in and they work. Talking to anyone on the phone using them is terrible. Bluetooth cuts out sometimes, randomly. I miss my wired headphones :(

I had to put the Lemmy app where Baconreader used to be 😢

No, you can take a picture of something and it will pick out data from the image. e.g. You could photograph a menu in another language and translate it. It's also a QR code scanner. It might do other things I don't know about.

Edit: ok, reading this thread it does lots of other stuff 😆

I have electric panel heaters so there isn't a thermostat. I'd normally turn one on in the main room and bedroom for a couple of hours each day during winter, but last winter my electricity rates were so high that I just used them on the coldest days. The thermometer in my bedroom dropped below 10°C, it wasn't fun.
