Because everyone complained about the flat tire.

I can spend hours doing work without any mandatory updates .

Weird way to say spend hours fixing something that just randomly borked your PC.

Seriously, though. Windows has a fuck ton of issues, but it seems like every distro I install I am eventually greeted with something just completely breaking for no reason whatsoever and spend the next 6 hours scouring Linux forums for a solution, where everyone is just hostile as fuck screaming at people to "figure it out yourself" and to "use Terminal".

Glad it works for you, though. Wonder how many downvotes this cold take is going to net me lol.

That's okay. That just means the people who understand science and respect others by wearing masks will be on top in the future. Actually a pretty calming thought.

My old landlord refused to fix our water heater, the leaking roof causing mould and water damage, the outlets that were falling off, the broken light switches that didn't work, the ceiling light that was flickering and and literally hanging by the wires. All for $2000/month + utilities. Then he kicked us out because he wanted to sell the place, but now he can't sell it because no bank will touch it with the amount of water damage it has lmao.

Oh ya, can't forget the 5 times he's banged on our door threatening us with his lawyer because he stole $100 from us, we asked for it back, but he refused to answer our calls, so we had to wait 12 fucking months before our lease was up and we started paying month to month for us to subtract the $100 he owed us for 12 months from the payment.

I just said that that's weird, because just yesterday we went and didn't have to pay. Just giving insight to the fact it's not a paid thing everywhere.

Seems like Americans still haven't learned that the internet is GLOBAL. Saying:

The pharma companies jacked up the price of the vaccines knowing future waves were coming and yearly boosters would be necessary.

without any context of where you live, means I can take it anyway I want. So maybe this person lives in Canada, and I commented that it's weird because my shot was free in Canada yesterday. Stop treating the internet as if it's a US only thing. State where you're from. State the currency you're using (news flash, $ is not American).

Glad to see you took my comment and turned it into something to hate me for.

That's your take from what I said?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago

Americans pay the same taxes.

Wonder why these comments replying to me were removed..

Same. I never stopped wearing a mask because I'm immunocompromised from my lung transplant. People call me names all the time. Even here on Lemmy.

That's weird. My girlfriend got another booster yesterday in Canada for free.
