It's definitely an unpopular opinion, but it's also a fucking stupid one.
Makes sense, I just mostly interact with Europeans, so I don't encounter this problem a lot. I really don't have a problem with YYYYMMDD though anyway.
It just makes sense. Why would you go in with a sharp piece of metal when you could just shoot a sharp piece of wood/metal from a safe distance?

For sorting or filing, I agree. I think in day to day life, though, Day and month are way more significant. So I actually prefer DDMMYYYY for that.

I think that's nuts. I use sync and I don't care what you use. You can also dislike Sync all you want, I will never feel attacked by that.
