Irl, yes. Extremely so. I tend to be prickly online because, frankly, anonymous communication generally causes people to be assholes.

That said, I'm only a dick when someone else is being a dick first.

No, only a "normies" exploit involving using a defunct email address is getting blocked.

If only that option were realistic

On a new install, before powering up, make sure you don't start it up with Ethernet plugged in, when you get to the Wi-Fi connection stage hit Ctrl+f10

Type in

oobe\bypassnro

And press enter. The computer will restart and now when you get to the Wi-Fi connection screen you'll have a like that says "I don't have internet".

Grab the shelter app from f Droid, add the Play store in shelter, move over to the work side Play store and install the authenticator.

Pause your work apps except for when you need to use the authenticator.

Prosper???

The platform was wonderful. Intuitive, powerful, everything every other platform was not. Google started killing it slowly long before it died, but in its heyday it was amazing.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that your experience isn't valid, I am merely providing a counterpoint based upon my own experience.

If you were into tech, the tech people were amazing. Yonatan Zunger comes to mind. He was a backend engineer at Google and the guy was great.

I also met many people who are still friends, many of whom became real life friends too.

I even got an amazing job thanks to my contacts on g+.

The feed layout was awesome. The fact that everything got fed to rss. The fact that you could tailor posts so easily. God I miss it. Only social media I've ever really been a part of.

It was wonderful ♥️

You know, this is some shit that I expect when dealing with some shady asshole on ebay, but LMG?

Bro... Are you ok?

I always wondered if Linus was actually a slimy POS, but this Billet Labs situation has cemented it for me. If you haven't watched the Gamers Nexus followup video, definitely watch it.

My personal thoughts

At first it came off a bit whiney, but I watched the entire thing and I'm glad I did. It shows a pattern of carelessness and in some cases complete douchebaggery of LMG.

What they did to Billet Labs is absolutely un-fucking excusable. LMG and Linus, in particular, needs to be mercilessly shamed for that until Billet Labs gets a clear and unequivocal apology and paid restitution for damages. Fucking shameful. What a bunch of pricks.

Video Description

This video is not monetized. This video covers our serious concerns regarding the data accuracy of Linus Media Group, including Linus Tech Tips, ShortCircuit, and TechQuickie, particularly as it relates to rushing content out the door to favor -- by staff's own admission -- quantity over quality. As the company continues to expand into its LTT Labs direction, the importance of accurate data increases; however, even as 'only' entertainment, there are still certain responsibilities to the consumer and the manufacturers to report fairly (and to have defined corrections processes in place). We tried to approach this as objectively as possible and hope that viewers are able to listen to the evidence we present, particularly as it relates to significant and frequent data errors that now present in nearly every technical review video.
