From the article, other birds then are also attracted to ant eating birds, as they know there will be a food source is there. Really interesting how much of an effect the ant eating birds have on the rest of the bird species

 

Driver ants regularly sweep across Africa’s tropical forest floors in voracious swarms hundreds of thousands of ants strong. Some birds are known to find and follow ant swarms, and scientists have only just begun to study these interactions.

This is really exciting tech. The potential for this is huge, especially when this data is compared with other population estimates, which should get it more accurate. All while being non-invasive to the species.

Interesting. I agree that there are some that make the internet a worse place, but surely we wouldn’t want to close the internet to all the others that could use it for good?

 

Recent research on a changing battle between parasite and host bird species. Fascinating how animals continue to adapt to the pressures on their population.

Really interesting article! Most importantly to me, it has spurred some really good conversations.

Personally, I don’t think early web is the answer. Modern web usage has allowed for better accessibility to all ages and types. Content aggregation allows for (but doesn’t guarantee) more views and opinions. There are certainly elements we can get back from the early days, but I think we still need work to find a perfect web
