I just went to nhentai .to and nhentai .net from TX and was immediately shown naked anime children, so no, I don't think that site has figured anything out unless I got the domain wrong.

Owning a dozen or so websites doesn't make them a monopoly when there are tens of thousands of porn sites available.

There are countless models over the age of 22 making bank in the porn industry. The only difference is that they have talent.

In addition, the porn business is hot right now! So many people just got cut off and are now paying for content.

I once was super dead set on sailing the Carribean. Planned for two years and finally bought a 34footer. Sold it within the same year. And I am still trying to dig myself out of that financial hole. I much prefer my RV.

The only thing I can add to this excellent response is, don't put anything in writing!

Same. I would absolutely love to park my RV in some beautiful place and just code for months. Likewise, I have three DSLR cameras and two 3D printers I haven't had a chance to use in months/years. I have sooo many hobbies and interests. I don't understand people that get bored. There are never enough hours in a day for me. I could live ten lifetimes and still find things to do.

They were put there by a man.

This should be the top comment. Seriously, quit thinking about it and just fuckin dance.

Ok, sounds like they've made it a lot more clear since the reddit exodos which is the last time I've had any interaction with beehaw. That's good then.

If people want to be part of a limited community that's fine and well. The issue I have is that a lot of people joining lemmy don't know what beehaw is about and join it just because it's a name they've maybe heard of. Then they're completely unimpressed by lemmy, not knowing they're only part of a fraction of the federation. Next thing they're back on reddit or whereever.

Also, as someone with access to the majority of lemmy instances, I've only ran into maybe a handful of assholes on here. I'm really not sure what beehaw is trying to shelter it's users from. It's easy enough to block someone on the rare occasion.

EDIT: dunno why, but because Beehaw, I can't actually see the comment below. So I'll answer here...

Beehaw defederated from a lot of the bigger instances because someone hurt their feelings or whatever. So now you miss out on the majority of lemmy content including comments. I would suggest creating an account with a different instance so that you can experience the entirety of the community.

I didn't realize it had a block list. That's an amazing feature that should be pointed out more! I'm going to have to give this a try now.
