Yeah I'm aware of the alternatives but I thought it could do with some rationale as to why people aren't overly impressed with Sync as they were on Reddit. Nothing against the app tbh, happy with the one I have.

Don't forget this is a community built around Open Source software with many refugees who came because proprietary apps were forced on them.
Apple: makes back of phone glass for aesthetics and premium feel

Do lightning cables still break if you look at them funny? I remember all the "hack" videos that involved taping a spring to the end of them...
Is that an observation or a threat?
iPhones aren't exactly known for durability...
Most Motorola and Samsung batteries are completely removable but there's something in the way to prevent it - glue, a sticker, a couple of screws. I doubt removing those measures will reduce the durability of the phones.
This was a good article, US centric, but interesting. Would have been better if it didn't start with a picture of a happy looking dog and a seizure of $100k cash which the author can't even explain. The law says you have to prove you didn't get the money illegally, if I had $100k in my suitcase I think I would be able to explain how I got it.
tax bad

Nova, but the devs sold out and are VERY aggressive towards the community if they question the motives of the new owner, so if I wasnt so ingrained in it, I probably wouldnt recommend it.
Yeah yeah, but OP made a post about it so I thought I'd add some of the reasoning behind people being that way. I don't care what app people use as long as I can use the one I like.
