I agree. At the root of it, people want to feel safe. This is a fundamental need. Religion does this for them because they don’t need to make decisions and they’re promised that if they follow it they will indeed be kept safe. Also spiritual bypass is awesome.

personally, i'd go for some stability and allow lemmy to create/develop it's own vibe. it doesn't need to grow and get big. those who seek alternatives will easily find it. let the people come to us.

If you’re the type of person who buys new things often then yes. But if you buy the exact same stuff that you’ve been purchasing for 30 years, ads aren’t going to impact you today.

i just remember "dios mio no es beno" from that 70's show. i probably spelled that incorrectly.

although i cheated... i took 2 years of spanish in jr. high, and didn't learn shit. so i took my native language in hs and college. got an a- in college.

i use excel. the win is having multiple credit cards that you use for specific categories. this makes keeping a budget super easy - i look at my checking account and know what category hits which credit card.
