is there anything you would recommend?

You'd need to donate via whatever means they accept donations, it's not something you get to choose yourself. Unless you meant that you are going to keep contacting FOSS projects to ask them to set up new donation methods?

Personally I donate via crypto or other means that they allow donations via credit card (Liberapay / Ko-Fi work well IMO) . No Paypal/Venmo since I can't use those services - some FOSS projects I don't donate at all if they only accept Paypal.

Sounds like you're assuming there was some legal issue that triggered this community blocking? Lemmy.world admins did not receive any legal notices prior to this action, it was just their kneejerk response to a troll from another instance. You can view it yourself, browse to the post via [email protected] or see it directly https://lemmy.world/post/3175920

EDIT: Lemmy.world seems to be down right this second so you may not be able to load it, LOL.

Piracy subreddits still exist on Reddit. Lemmy.world admins are apparently blocking communities that even Reddit allows.

Not only that, these presumably would all be old posts/comments being re-posted with current date/time. Maybe best to make sure the specific community or instance you're sending this to accepts old Reddit content.

Interestingly this could be a use-case for Lemmy users having their own self named communities where they can dump old post/comment data into if they wish. e.g. for you it would be https://sopuli.xyz/c/MentalEdge (if it had existed).
