I'm 99% sure it is. The only hesitation is that the Trump presidency was so unhinged that you could make all manner of nonsense up and it would seem truthy. There was a whole thing where the owner of Goya beans endorsed him or something and Trump and his cult got really weird about buying and promoting Goya products for like a month.

I mean, just do a little due diligence, Jesus. I've bought PalWorld, Planet Crafter, Traveler's Rest, and more in early access and had a blast with all of them. In fact, I'd say it's some of the best bang for my buck in the last ten years of gaming. I've also not bought early access games because the five minutes of due diligence suggested that it was a garbage game.

I particularly think it's fine with small, indie studios that don't have a lot of devs or resources. No way in fuck am I buying an early access AAA release.

[nervous sweating] I've always run my game with crit fail skill checks. That's normal.

Isn't it?

Isn't it?

Tbh, the worst part is when you pay for it and still get ads anyway. Feels like double dipping, but it's obviously going to happen because wall street doesn't like when line only goes up a little.

I am a computer programmer, this is exactly how it works. Why else do you think electronics have fans in them if not to blow fresh, crisp wifi in and stale, soggy wifi out?

Please drink a confirmation mountain dew to activate your air conditioner. Sorry, we didn't hear the sound of the can opening, please open another where the microphone can hear it. Sorry, our servers are down, we apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Sorry, getting your family out of the vehicle is an optional feature which you have not subscribed to, please say "Do the Dew" to get temporary access to the friends and family doors. Sorry, I didn't get that, please say "Do the Dew". Sorry, I still didn't get that, please call customer service at 1800-luv-cars to give your ad consumer confirmation phrase to a customer service representative.

Wow, is there anything private equity can't make worse?

That's a damn good description, 4 GB of 2600 mhz ram on a 6 GHz 64 core processor and a 20gb flash disk for a hard drive.

That's not what it feels like for me. I grew up basically getting the "what's wrong with you? Just focus" treatment, so I always default to saying to myself "no, no, it'll be okay, I'll just try really super duper hard; I'm sure it'll work this time."

I get that Gus Fring look every time I hear "Hey, have you heard of Jordan Petersen? Let me show you one of his videos"

Imagine the kind of person that spent time making something like this. Like, it's 2023, there's boundless knowledge on the internet, blender is free, programming is free, there's all kinds of wonderful and creative ways you can contribute to society, and they chose to do this. I'd press F, but they need to L3 + R3 first.

Look, contacting your federal reps: well, you might as well pray to them for all the good it will do.

Contacting your state and city representatives, however, has gone a lot more successfully for me.
