Especially when they go out of their way to provide direct APKs to Android users who do not use Play Store.

They already had to make the APK for the Play Store, providing it directly doesn't require extra dev work.

But I can't get an Orange Julius online.

Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grubhub, etc. all exist for this exact type of purchase.

Although you will pay for the convenience, as opposed to it being cheaper like most other products since the physical store is still involved.

Actually, the inventor of the Keurig coffee pod system, John Sylvan, sold his ownership of the product for $50,000 in 1997. 7 years after founding the company and before single-serve coffee really took off.

Even the creator of the K-cup said he regretted creating it because of the environmental impact.

A couple of primarily YouTube-based music artists I follow made OF pages before the adult influx and still use them. It works great since that's what it was designed for.

An ugly misshapen freak of nature that should never have been bred by humanity? Might be a little excessive for a human baby.

Or... that's the result of hormonal changes and the brain creating an excuse for the cognitive dissonance that results. It's an evolutionary trait to further propagation of the species, nothing more. Your mind tricking you into liking something because you created it. The human mind creates fantasies all the damned time typo cope with situations.

In a different context. Your abuser isn't that bad, they provide for you, give you a place to stay, and clearly care for you, just in their own way. Clearly they actually love you and you need to return those feelings to show your appreciation. The physical abuse is only a small punishment when you misbehave, you deserved it.

Sounds a bit like Stockholm Syndrome.

I never had an issue with it. The sensor unlocked the phone every single time without exception.

Every in screen sensor I've used has had issues at one point or another. Power button sensors are theoretically good, but I rarely use the power button to turn on my screen. With all the alternative ways to wake up the phone, I rarely wake it using the power button.

Oh yeah it's on there 3 times. I've even tried to retrain them again several times since I got it. Just doesn't like that finger for whatever reason. Can't see any reason why looking at it, but it's extremely annoying since it's the most convenient finger.

The screen sensor is also noticeably slower than the rear sensor from older models, and I do have more issues with other fingers occasionally. I much prefer the placement of the rear sensor as well. I rarely use the phone while it is sitting on the table, and was able to unlock the phone while still pulling it out of my pocket with the rear sensor since there was an actual physical spot for it you could feel, not just a specific spot on the glass.

Easily the biggest step down for usability with the Pixels in my opinion.

My Pixel 6 only has an issue with one finger. Unfortunately it's my right thumb. The finger I want it to work with the most.
