Yep, waydroid init -s GAPPS. But it will complain when first trying to sign in with Google so you'll have to authorize the device.

Last I checked you couldn't even control dpms monitor standby with xset and there was no equivalent.

xset is xorg. The equivalent depends on your compositor, e.g. kscreen-doctor --dpms off for KDE Plasma and swaymsg "output * dpms off" for Sway.

I nuked my personal instance because of this :(

Dealing with pictrs is just frustrating currently since there's no tools for its database format and no frontend for the API. I half-expected this outcome but I hope it gets better in the future.
