Works great! I'm not an advanced user, mainly been using synth-VSTs. Since waveform 11 it is really stable and performant, before that there were some issues (they reworked the audio engine).

I recommend Waveform if you haven't tried it yet (works with linux).

Not for hand-written notes but I recommend Obsidian, works great and respects privacy. Not great for collaboration though, and it's not OSS, but Free!

In my country I don't think so. Teachers get easily reported just for providing information that can be used by the other political spectrum. Has happened several times in drawing connections between migration and illegal acts.
