That and the outright censorship you see escalating all over the western world points to one thing - the massive failure of the western propaganda model itself.

and care for its citizens,

If the Israeli government cared about the people it (supposedly) represents it wouldn't be turning them into violent colonialist goons to do the west's bidding in the middle-east, would it?

You might just as well ask how to fix the Apartheid-regime without upsetting white people or fix the Nazi regime without discomforting Nazis.

The conflict is extremely complicated.

It really isn't. It's just pro-Israeli propaganda pretending it's complicated.

This whole obsession with policing people's nationality came about because states were trying to clamp down on the massive amounts of working-class agitation that erupted across the world straight after WW1 - but all that history has essentially been scrubbed out from the "official" narratives.

Better for whom? Tell that to all the people doing the heavy lifting under capitalism.

Besides... a "communist" dictatorship isn't communist - it's just a dictatorship. If you're doing dictatorship, you're not much of a communist.

We did the same in 2016

Nope. Not yet. The right-wingers thought they could install overt fascism without the help of liberals - they thought wrong. They tried to win the streets - antifa beat booted them off it. They got their Great Orange Fuhrer into the Waffle House - liberal disdain isolated him and booted him out. What needs to happen is liberals being frightened to such an extent of working class revolt that the violence fascists offers becomes the "lesser evil" - and a good first step is to find hysteria "hot button" issues that liberals are too ignorant and naive to see through... like above-mentioned "protect the children" trope.

Modern economists don’t normally align themselves with simplistic ideologies

Yeah... there's just a whole bunch of them whose sole purpose seems to be coming up with simplistic fairy tale narratives to brainwash the masses with. After all... what would Reagen have been without Hayek, or Pinochet without the Chicago Boys?

Ooooh... the liberals are about to hand the fascists the keys to the tanks.

Koreas "chaebol" system isn't just any kind of conglomerattion, though... it was based on the system the Japanese used to dominate Korea during it's colonization of that country, which the US simply encouraged after the war. The dictatorships that followed basically ran with it... and now you have these gigantic, government-subsidized "chaebols" that is the epitome of "too big too fail." South Korea is about as oligarchic as it gets.

It's utterly hilarious to me when "free market" cultists try to use South Korea as an example of how miraculous their fairy tale economic ideology is.

Gardening is more dangerous than being a cop. It's not a high bar.

Also, i thought ghengis khan was all about meritocracy.

No... Genghis Khan wasn't a joke. Meritocracy is.
