I was able to opt out of this by going into settings.

Instagram locked my account and forced me to appeal and send a picture of my face, so I sent a picture of Shrek. They deleted my account in c/[email protected]

There's hardly any photography in there nowadays...it's all reels.

If you're making a throwaway account or something not important you can use 10minutemail. It's a website and is free. Been using it for a while.

On a similar note, does anybody know of a frontend or add on for Instagram? I do not want the suggested content and reels they shove down everyone's throats because it is very easy to waste hours and get distracted easily with it. Also no ads would be nice. I have to use Instagram to keep in touch with certain people who I have no alternative means of keeping in touch with.
