Magma is excellent for powering certain "Magma" named workshops as well as working into your fortress defenses.

What I do to tap into it is to create a pipe at the same z level as the top of the magma. To break the final wall to fill your pipe you can either gamble the life of one of your miners and just dig through it, or you can channel it out from above. Once magma is flowing into your pipe you can pump it wherever you like.

Anything that touches magma, however, has to be magma proof. There is a list of magma-proof materials on the wiki if you don't want to guess. One fort I was in, I created a pump stack 130 levels high to get magma from the depths all the way to the top of my fort. During sieges I would dump it on the attacking forces. It was good fun. :)

Honestly that little reboot icon in the sys tray is sort of like a loaded gun pointed at me

I laughed off reports about this kind of thing, thinking "omg who could possibly give a shit about what color their text bubble is in a group chat?" Later my gen Z office mate told me about how he uses an iPhone and cited this exact reason unironically. I was stunned into silence.

I still wonder why console players allowed their online services to require subscriptions in the first place.

A thousand bugs? Wtf

My first time I was presented with the bug reporter I thought it was cool, but then it said I had to have all the debug symbols installed so it could unwind the call stack. Ok I thought, and searched apt for a little. But I couldn't find them all as there is not a standard naming scheme, so that effort was wasted. I wish their bug reporter would auto download all debug symbols needed.

True, they've only just begun

Yes I never thought plastering it with screenshots of your rust codebase made a good first impression. I get it, open source is awesome, but come on guys. That shouldn't be the first description of your product that people see.
