Ok so, realistically, if we all agree on this today, when would new nuclear power plants begin generating electricity? With all the regulations which are in place today?

Aha, there we go. I was trying to put "end to end encrypted" and "Google" together and it just would not compute.

I did too, just within TMobile in the US, using the s*** word. Went through just fine.

Yeah, you all get all the nice things we don't in the US.

I'm curious about this. Do either of you run a custom dns for blocking ads, like adguard or pihole?

Did you turn off a bunch of stuff when you first got the PC?

Do you have corporate policies being applied in your registry?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 5 days ago

Yeah, but wow, that just keeps going and going...

Truth, since you didn't say how many weeks

Yah, if a developer wants to call all/most of his users 'idiots', they should have someone else interact with users.

And you can auto-forward your gmail messages to your new address.

I just did that last year and I found some people are too lazy to get the hint but many will notice you're sending replies back from a different address and will get it on their own. You can't fix everyone, so don't try to, I guess.

Am I crazy or is 10,000 samples nowhere near enough for training people's voices?

Hi y'all, in my quest to de-goog my life, I've switched from using google's calendar to a new service from a company I trust more. (Someday I will self-host but not today)

In any case, I am looking for a way to have any new invitations which are sent to my google account be auto-forwarded to my new calendar. I was able to set up something similar for my gmail, but is there a way to do with with calendar events? I've searched around and not found anything yet.

Thanks for any ideas.

So two-part question here:

If you've played Watch Dogs: Legion, did you like it?

And especially, did you like it for the story?

This makes me think the game is not primarily about the story: https://opencritic.com/game/7405/watch-dogs-legion

I played WD2 and enjoyed that quite a bit though never finished it.

I want the next game I play on my PC (via Steam, etc...) to have a great story. Recommendations greatly appreciated.

Other games I've played with what I thought were great stories: Psychnoauts 2, Portal 2, Soma (though I'm not really into scary games), Firewatch, Metro all, The Talos Principle

Cheers,

Around 2000 or so, I used to work in tech support for a software company who had like 5000 Windows-based customers and 5 running Solaris. My boss chose me to learn Solaris when the previous "expert" left. I bought this book and started hacking. Good times!

I've been going to VisionWorks but I want to shop around this time. I don't want to go to any Luxottica store.

I've never bought online. Is that a good option now? How do you know how the glasses are going to look on you?

Thanks for any ideas.

ETA: Thanks everyone. Great tips and info!

From the site:

Adventures with Eggie is a fantasy adventure webcomic made by someone who can’t help but inject really stupid humor into everything. This comic is a labor of love – a story I’ve wanted to tell really badly for a long time.

I think now is a good time to discover this fantastic web comic. Everything about it is really well made and funny and sincere and beautiful.

Earlier this year, I built a new PC and it's running Ubuntu. I've been installing various apps and configuring them since then. Now, I realize I don't have any way of knowing what I would want to reinstall, if I (for instance) lost this drive somehow.

How do you keep track of what you've installed/ your favorite apps?

Separately, how can I backup the configurations I'm using right now.

Thanks!
