The opening scene. Lots of movies had featured spaceships like the one we initially see fleeing. When it reveals the size of the star destroyer, we know that it's going to be a new type of story.

It seems to be saying that only the purchaser was speculating but the seller was essentially selling things 'to themselves' (or to someone closely related who knew what was going on) to try and create the illusion of an actual market existing?

Not just in games - the famous infinite leverage glitch from wallstreetbets was 'just following the rules' - luckily it was website code rather than a smart contract so they could fix the rule before ControlTheNarrative ended up owning the entire US economy.

How is this bot going to decide which party is acting in bad faith (whether the file contents violate the spirit of the agreement) better than a human arbitrator?

Mandating that parties to a contract should all be on the same blockchain is surely no different than telling them that they all have to follow Australian law?

And in fact this is quite common - if you look at some contracts that you've agreed to in the internet age, they will usually specify a legal system - e.g. Delaware law or English law - to be used when interpreting the contract.

Didn't France just ban flights between places that are joined by railways? Still needs to fix the growing move to private jets though.
