"Employees speak new languages." Is what translate gives me, but I would translate it more as "The ones working speak new languages" or "Those who have employment speak new languages". I still dont get the meme though, so the context might matter more and my translation could be off

The output is a little nice for the purpose of the meme imo using df, rather than lsblk

Would also recommend the T480. Got mine for around €280 total (including shipping from ebay).

If youre looking definitely try them out

I think what hes trying to say (correct me if im wrong OP), is that not everyone needs that high end machine, so its not comparing apples to oranges as you seem to suggest. Its like comparing a Lamborghini to a regular albeit good sedan for the purpose of taking your kids to school, doing groceries, etc. If we ignore the obvious impracticalities of the Lambo for these jobs, sure its really cool, but if you can achieve the same task with the sedan (again ignoring that the Lambo might not allow you to conveniently achieve them and assuming practicality is equal so that the car analogy can fit in with the laptop question), why specifically go looking to get the Lambo?

Edit: meant to reply to [email protected]

Pre disney star wars was good. A lot of us grew up with it. Yea the movies have their flaws, like most movies, but the expanded stuff was really cool. I loved anything star wars as a child, be it comics, books, lego, games etc...

It holds a lot of fond memories is my point :)

So my point is: please excuse the obligatory downvote, its on principle ;)

Licensing question (iusearchlinux.fyi)
submitted 1 year ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Hello everyone.

I just forked this and added my own 2 themes to my fork. Both themes are based on the winternord theme contained within that repository. In the theme the author, 2xx04 clearly states at the top that their code contains modifications to Bootstrap's CSS, as well as the Nord colour scheme by Arctic Ice Studio & Sven Greb. Both of those repositories contain the MIT license, but 2xx04's repository contains no license.

My question is this: Even though technically any github repository with no license has the default copyright rules applied to it (i.e. the author has sole ownership), since they failed to include the license of the software they modified, my repository should include the MIT license, and any code written by me is mine (under MIT license rules of course, so anyone can copy and distribute it)?

Thanks in advance. Here is a link to my repository in case you need it to understand what I mean
