You just posted a link to some app most people don't know about a "better Signal" , with no explanation of why. That's classic spammy vibes.

1+2 came in mid 2015

This is a bit anecdotal. It could simply be you're more tech savvy and/or just care for your electronics better.

As long as they don't fuckup the charging speed, I doubt it would make a major difference. The number of people/occasions you need to use a physical cable to transfer data is much smaller now than in the past.

Yes there was a problem, but destroying the identity and appeal of the app wasn't the solution.

Your comment is a Trump card, well done!

I'm sure that script will liberal ly block unrelated content... It might as well go back to Reddit.

I would assume it's a hard thing to implement reliably in a system such a lemmy. You could just spin up your own instance and give yourself a ton of points if you really cared for the numbers.

Well, the good thing about Lemmy is your downvotes don't add up to some Karma like it did on Reddit. You're free to state your opinion in one post without having to carry it around everywhere.

Because, truthfully, that app isn't really that great. It's good that they aren't trying to force their thing as the official one. If we wanted a bad official app we'd just go to reddit.

Comments on articles and memes is okay, but comments and discussions on Reddit subs about specific topics and interests were very useful. Lemmy would definitely be better with more of that here.

It says unknown (mobile?) client for me too, using Sync with Bluetooth and location enabled and Play Store Services installed.

Whoever wrote that image tracking over-hyped it?
