Wow, the level of detail on this theme is really impressive!
As as aside, I didn't realize that GTK had officially banned theming. That seems...dumb.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Holy crap, this is amazing! I mean, I kinda hate the XP UI (and the UE was worse lol), but if you loved it, good on you! This is fantastically close. Like, it's uncanny.

I miss Windows 7 though.
I have followed this guide in a VM and it sort of works. It involves messing with source files to get it working on a modern setup (many outdated dependencies, compiler requirements, a few bugs here and there) and some helper files crash the UI, but it's getting pretty close. With Wine set up I bet you'd be able to fool quite a few people into thinking you're actually running Windows 7 with a weird translucency added to Aero.
We'll never seen the full care and unified design Microsoft put into Windows 7 on a normal desktop. For a short while I had hope for Gnome, because it's fat window borders seem to mirror Windows 7s quite well, but Gnome went all anti-theming and CSDso I don't think it's worth putting effort into such a theme.

Fuck...
If I weren't told this was just a theme, I'd have confused it for the real deal. It's absolutely fantastic! Tremendous job!
I love the level of precision and dedication. I was just working on making XFCE look like Gnome but don't have anything uploaded.
