Walmart sells the shit ones that wouldn't last in the US. Most places I go don't. I wouldn't buy those. Last time I went on vacation and didnt think to bring any I just didn't use a bag and carried armfuls of groceries in instead of buying that flimsy crap.

I don't understand people who live in areas that don't allow plastic bags anymore who wouldn't think to buy some decent ones. They just go back in my car after I unload groceries and they last for years. It's such a weird thing to not be able to handle.

South Korea only fascist before the war. Definitely wasn't a fascist pseudo dictatorship until like what year is it?... I think they're still electing people related to the former dictators or in that weird cult shit. South Korea is like that super crazy cousin you have, that you forget about because their quiet and don't call you very often.

It's very obviously is. Stock buybacks aren't allowed almost anywhere else in the world for a reason. It just leads to terrible behavior. This coupled with insanely low effective corporate tax rates means companies horde capital and do buybacks instead of doing other activities that are more economically beneficial to the country. Like increasing worker pay...

It's blatant stock manipulation. The stock price goes up because they increase demand for the stock for no reason. The value of the company doesn't change at all other than they're holding stock as an asset instead of the cash. Yet the stock is worth more now. It's stock manipulation, plain and simple.

There was very little trench warfare in WW2. Unless you're talking about the trenches for the death camps. Those were some really big wide trenches.

Huh? Americans are like the most willing to admit their country is shit of like anywhere of the Lemmy audience.... America fucking sucks, sign American. I had some dude from Pakistan super mad at me for saying women are second class citizens there the other day. Apparently they treat women super well, according to that angry guy anyway. I'm still pretty sure they don't.

Yeah, I was super short on serotonin but no one would of ever called me an old soul as a child. My ADHD keeps me running my mouth and being super irritating with people around. I only get quiet and reflect on my own mortality and pointlessness of all life once they walk away and I'm left with my own loud constant inner monologue.

Those of use blessed with the loud, fast constant sadness. We wish we could be called an old soul. RIP Robin Williams.

Alright, this is just some silly shit right here. I have 8-10 reusable bags in my car I use every time I go to the grocery store. I've been using them for years. I threw away one so far. Who the fuck only uses them 5x?

I believe all my comparisons to coach roaches should have gave away how often I pay for lobster.

Anything that's been damaged past where insurance would pay to have it fixed. Water damaged/flooded vehicles, frame damage etc. Serious damage that was more costly than insurance wanted to deal with.

It's pretty well known not to touch one. Which is why this person is having trouble unloading it.
