The liberals just aren't used to actual left wing push back.
The vast majority of world poverty reduction that capitalists claim has been from China. But hey, maybe China is a capitalist economy but you just need a communist government to regulate it effectively.
Being pro-Dessalines also underlines "tankie" mindset. Dessalines was an utter tyrant who declared himself emporer but his subjects weren't slaves and everyone opposing him wanted to re-enslave them. Sure Toussaint Louverture would've been ideal but Napoleon rejected him so he failed. Its all strictly "lesser of two evils" mindset.
You should probably read up on the original author of reddit, Aaron Schwartz, before claiming capitalism made it.
